Barco adapts projector frame to combat cave humidity

An immersive underground light show that tells the story of Emperor Shun of China uses eight Barco projectors fitted with special frames with dehumidifiers and thermostats.
Eight Barco G100-W19 projectors project the life story of Emperor Shun of China onto the walls of an underground cave, equipped with special projection frames, dehumidifiers and thermostats to help them function in humid conditions.
The dehumidification system works 24/7 in each projector body, keeping the device's operating humidity within 2% of the ideal environment, and allowing many visitors to the Zixiayan ("Ziguangyan") caves to enjoy an immersive light show.
The G100-W19 laser phosphor light source, advanced cooling system and excellent thermal radiation ensure stable operation and low noise even under extreme temperatures and humidity. It is also suitable for projections requiring ultra-high brightness and long-term operation.
The 1.5 km Zixia Cave in the Jiuishan National Forest Park in Hunan Province has stone carvings and inscriptions left by countless ancient Chinese celebrities. In addition to its historical and cultural significance, the cave's numerous stone pillars, stalagmites, and stone waterfalls make it a popular tourist attraction.
